Developing quietly in recent years and turning into a shipyard region, Yalova is now an important export point for our country.

Many of us are not aware that Yalova has become an important source of development for our country with the boats and ships it has produced in recent years. Among the boats built in the shipyards are large motor yachts and vessels designed for mussel harvesting and fishing in Norway. Most importantly, these boats equipped with state-of-the-art technology inspire many entrepreneurs around the world with their environmentally friendly and efficient structures.

 

 

As for the story of the companies...

 

Having started its shipbuilding activities in 2022, TRX Marine's sub-40m, battery-powered and hybrid technology, environmentally friendly special vessels are one of the remarkable examples. For instance, the vessel, built for the Norwegian fishing company AQS, can operate for 24 hours thanks to its battery that can be charged both from shore and from a generator. Despite being 18.5m in length and 12m in width, the vessel has all the equipment and systems except the nuclear system. This makes the vessel the first and only one of its kind. AQS vessel is a product of the efforts to be environmentally friendly and reduce its carbon footprint to zero thanks to hybrid technology. It is aimed with this technology to reduce the stress of Norwegian salmon and improve the quality of the meat.

 

 

Another shipbuilding company in the region, Etkin Marine has been providing engineering solutions to the maritime industry since 2016. Ocean Apollo and Ocean Athena, two of the ships they have built, are being sent to Scotland as net cleaning vessels. The vessels work there as fish farm service boats and the robots installed on the vessel are used to clean the nets of the fish farm. The other models Fruthful Bough and Fruthful Harvest are boats specially built for harvesting mussels.

 

Sirena Marine is a chain distinguished by its different building philosophy. It owns Sirena Yachts, Euphoria and Azuree brand boats. They participate in the world's most prestigious fairs such as Cannes, Genoa and Monaco with their 48-58-68-78 and 88 feet super yachts. And, of course, they keep receiving awards.

 

 

Setur Marinas is often the last stop for boats built in Yalova before heading abroad. The boats that are launched are housed at our marina. The super-finishes of the boats are also completed at Setur Marinas.

 

Looking closely at the shipyards area, one can say without hesitation that Yalova has become a star of the export industry, and we are all proud.
