Every marina has a veteran. He sees everything, knows everything, but doesn't stand out too much. On the other hand, those who know him follow him. I think we described "Şaş" without realizing it.

When he was a puppy, they named him "Şaşkın" (bewildered) because he looked around bewildered. Time after time, he became "Şaş" for short. He has been with us for 15 years. As he grew up with sailors and maritime culture since he was a baby, he is also a real sailor. Almost all yachtsmen in the marina know and love Şaş. New yachtsmen also meet Şaş immediately.
Şaş's daily routine is clear. He starts the day by swimming at the beach of the marina. For this reason, summer is his favorite season. Especially in hot weather, you can see him on the beach at any time of the day. Sometimes he swims for a long time. Now that he is older, he cannot swim as fast as he used to, but the sea is still indispensable for him. Sometimes he sunbathes on the pier. In the evenings, he watches the sunset from the most beautiful spot and enjoys it.
In the evenings, he makes sure to patrol with the sailors. Together they walk around the whole dock. They check that everything is in order. When he finishes his patrol, he goes to bed and sleeps. Now that he is old, he sleeps a little too much.
At the marina, Şaş is most fond of his brother Mutlu, an old friend of the marina like himself. When he hears the sound of Mutlu's motorcycle, he jumps out of his seat and comes in with his feathers flying. It is impossible not to notice the smile on Şaş's face when he sees him. Sometimes he accompanies his brother Mutlu in the sea, and sometimes they go on motorcycle tours together. There are years between the two friends that bind them together.
Şaş can sometimes be hard to find. You have to look for him on the docks or around the hotel. He may also be on the breakwater. He can be very busy as he controls all marina operations. He usually watches the boat arrivals and departures from the end of the dock. Sometimes he follows the operations in the dry dock area. With years of experience, he knows the sea and the wind better than anyone else. He knows every corner of the marina like the inside of his paw. We hope one day he will show you around too.
