There is an 8.5-year-old cat among the crew of Lobito, one of the beautiful sailboats of Kaş marina. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Azot, who owes his name to his owners' interest in diving, is not only a member of the crew, but also the real owner of the boat.

Gülseda and Ekin's beautiful cat, Azot, is one of the unchanging faces of Kaş marina. Of course, it has common characteristics with many cats. For example, like many cats, it gets bored of too much closeness and places importance to protecting its personal space. But what distinguishes it from other cats is that it is a real sailor.
Azot first moved from domestic life to marine life in 2022. It stayed on the boat for a few days before its first cruise, so it had the opportunity to get to know the environment and get used to it. The fact that the boat had a narrower space than a house turned out to be an advantage for Azot. Apparently, this has made it easier for it to control everywhere and embrace the boat. It has already turned into a careful guard in a short time. As a matter of fact, it is as careful as a boat dog, and is always on the alert for strangers from outside.
Azot certainly experienced some anxiety during its first voyage. The noise of the engine, the sound of the wind, and the squeaks of the ropes made first it very uneasy. It found a hiding place to escape from all these noises and started to take shelter there whenever it got anxious.
Gülseda and Ekin did their best to make Azot's adaptation process easy. For example, they turned the shower of the boat into a separate litter box for it. Who would make such a sacrifice in a limited space like a boat? In fact, if you saw Azot, you would give up many things for it.
Over time, the boat has become no different than a home for Azot. It has determined its favorite places on the boat and started to enjoy the peace of the sea and the sun. It has adapted even to strong storms better than many guests on the boat and did not cause any trouble to its owners. It has almost never left the boat anymore.
Azot, who learned seafaring in a short time, has already made as many nautical miles as an average captain. It not only toured the entire Mediterranean and Aegean coasts from Finike to Izmir, but also visited Dodecanese.
Everyone who has seen Azot at work on the boat agrees on one thing: This kid is a total boat freak and a born sailor.
