Kaş Marina, which has been carrying out important activities for environmental protection for many years, has carried out many environmental activities and received many valuable awards in 2022.

Last year, Kaş Marina received the "Blue Flag Award for the Best Environmental Education and Awareness Raising Activities" for the 24 different environmental education activities it organized throughout 2021 as part of the World Environment Day on June 5 and Turkey Environment Week, celebrated with the emphasis of "sustainable, nature-friendly, cleaner and greener life".

 

 

The Blue Flag award, given to beaches, marinas and boats with certain criteria by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which operates in 44 countries, is an award that is considered among universal standards in environmental issues. The environmental education and awareness-raising activities organized by Kaş Marina within the framework of the Blue Flag Program were deemed worthy of this prestigious award by the jury in terms of scope, quality and filing. The award-worthy environmental education events included Blue Flag marina trips and ecological tours with students as well as organizations such as waste battery training, Blue Flag Seminar and Boat Mooring System Workshop, and campaigns such as "No Plastic Bottle" and "Bring Your Trash and Take Your Coffee".

 

One of the awards won by Kaş marina last year was the "Akdeniz University Environmental Service Award". The marina was deemed worthy of an award in the Antalya scale in the private sector category for its "environmentally friendly marina management and environmental educations" at the ceremony organized annually by Akdeniz University.

 

Additionally, Kaş Marina received the "Marina Collecting the Most Waste Batteries" award from the Portable Battery Producers and Importers Association (TAP) and crowned its efforts to the environment with three awards in 2022.
