One of the corporations deemed worthy of an award at the "Best Environmental Education Events Awards of 2022" held within the scope of June 5, World Environment Day and Turkey Environment Week was Kaş Marina.

 

 

The awards were granted within the scope of June 5 World Environment Day and Turkey Environment Week, which is celebrated with the emphasis of "sustainable, nature-friendly, cleaner and greener life" this year. In the awards given by the Foundation for Environmental Education in Turkey (TÜRÇEV) continuously since 2021, in the beach and marina categories, the studies of corporations on "environmental education" were evaluated by the National Jury consisting of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ankara University Educational Sciences Department, Gazi University Education Faculty, Selçuk University Tourism Faculty and Nature Conservation Centre.

 

 

Kaş Marina won the award for the second time after 2012, with 24 different environmental education events it held throughout 2021. Other marinas that were granted an award in the marina category were Mersin Marina and Bodrum Milita Marina.

 

The award-worthy environmental education events of Kaş Marina includes Blue Flag marina trips and ecological tours with students as well as organizations such as waste battery training, Blue Flag Seminar and Boat Mooring System Workshop, and campaigns such as "No Plastic Bottle" and "Bring Your Trash and Take Your Coffee".

 

Setur Marinas, which was once again worthy of the same award as Setur Marinas Ayvalık, is winning the award for the third time in total.
