The 15th International Arena Aquamasters Swimming Championship started this year in Antalya on 19-22 May.
For the first time this year, Kemer and Kumluca districts of Antalya hosted an exciting swimming championship in which athletes of all ages from nine to 84 years old participated. In the first stage of Aquamasters, nearly 1800 athletes swam in the turquoise waters of Phaselis Ancient City, Suluada and Tekirova, on eight different courses for four days.
Aquamasters Swimming Championship is one of the most comprehensive swimming championships with the highest participation among the countries bordering the Mediterranean. The championship is held in Turkey, under the auspices of the Antalya Governorship, in cooperation with the Turkish Swimming Federation and Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, as part of the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. The aim is to emphasize that swimming is a sport that can be done at any age, and to instill the love of swimming to everyone.
Setur Marinas is one of the leading organizations that support this valuable organization that builds a bridge between swimming and maritime. Setur Antalya Marina Manager Ziya Baykal presented the medals to the athletes at the Setur Marinas Open Water Swimming Championship on May 22.
Of course, the championship is not over yet. And now the athletes will go for the Bodrum stages on October 28-30, Göcek and Marmaris stages on November 04-06. And the audience will surely enjoy the exciting moments.
