Setur Marinas came back from the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous yet with another environmentally friendly award this year.

Organized for the fourth time this year by Monaco Marina Management on September 22-23, key players in the marina industry, investors, marina developers, architects and manufacturers gathered once again for the Monaco Smart and Sustainable Marina Rendezvous. Placing sustainability at the heart of all its activities, Setur Marinas attended the event with the innovation and sustainability efforts of Kaş Marina.

Tuncay Özses, Kaş Marina Manager of Setur Marinas, introduced the marina's smart, sustainable and innovative solutions at the event, aimed at developing environmentally friendly and user-friendly marinas. Kaş Marina won the "Jury's Favorite Marina" award in the "Coup de Coeur" category with these solutions.

Being one of the most modern facilities in the Mediterranean region, Kaş Marina prioritizes global environmental risks such as climate change, plastic pollution, loss of natural resources and biodiversity in its operations. It regularly monitors seawater in its ecologically sensitive region and supports biodiversity by collaborating with environmental organizations and universities to protect marine life. It reduces sea pollution with the sea surface cleaning robot developed as part of the 'Smartium Clean Project'. It increases the use of renewable energy with solar energy investments and green energy supply projects supported by international I-REC certificates.

Kaş Marina, aiming to minimize waste and increase the recycling rate, also is a holder of the National Zero Waste Certificate. Disposable plastic consumption among employees was also completely eliminated at the marina, where the responsible use of water is encouraged.

Having received the "Blue Flag" award since 2011, the "Blue Flag Best Environmental Education Activities" awards in 2011, 2022, 2023 and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificate, the "Environmentally Friendly Marina Management and Environmental Education Programs" of the facility received two awards from Akdeniz University.

Continuing its environmentally friendly investments in line with its sustainability vision, Setur Marinas displays its activities on international platforms similar to those of Monaco Marina Management and Yacht Club Monaco. Having participated in this organization last year with the Setur Marinas Ayvalık project, Setur Marinas continues to reinforce its pioneering role in sustainability in the maritime sector.
