ICOMIA, a non-profit organization representing national maritime industry associations worldwide, has been playing an important role in setting global standards in the industry since 1966. The council, whose goal is to create a sustainable and responsible maritime industry, has 35 permanent members.
Setur Marinas' joining the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) family as a 'permanent member' as of April 12, 2024 is considered as an important step to represent Turkey more strongly on the global maritime scene.
With 11 marinas and one land parking facility with a total capacity of 5,500 yachts, Setur Marinas, which brought customer satisfaction to the top with the 'Chain Marina Program' launched in 2018 and proved that it offers a unique experience to marina guests with an increasing customer loyalty rate every year, draws attention not only with customer satisfaction but also with its innovations in sustainability and digitalization. Setur Marinas takes important steps towards protecting the marine ecosystem with its net zero greenhouse gas target by 2050 by investing in green technologies and continues to move forward in line with international marina management and brand targets by further strengthening its pioneering position in Turkey.
Following the Yacht and Boat Industry Association (YATED) in 2001 and West Istanbul Marina in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, in 2019, Setur Marinas becoming a member of ICOMIA will significantly contribute to spreading a sustainability perspective in our maritime sector.
We hope that sustainable development will be the principle of all organizations in our country. May Setur Marinas' permanent membership to ICOMIA be beneficial for our country and the marina industry!
