Boro Wind Blowing in Bookstores

Epona Publishing is revisiting the complete works of Sadun Boro. Third book of the series, Kısmet’in Dümen Suyunda, is out.
 
Sadun Boro, who went on a world tour with his wife Oda Boro and his cat Miço in 1965 with his boat named Kısmet, which is exhibited in Rahmi Koç Museum today, has been an inspiration not only to those who are interested in maritime but also to everyone who follows their dreams has left not only stories but also very good books behind. All of Sadun Boro's books are now being published by Epona Publishing with a brand new book design.
 
Pupa Yelken, which was published last year, telling about Boro's world voyage and considered as the masterpiece of amateur sailing in Turkey, was followed by Fora Yelken, which narrated the Atlantic and American voyages of Kısmet. Now the next one is the work of Sadun Boro named Kısmet’in Dümen Suyunda, in which he combines his memories from the Black Sea and Mediterranean coasts, the Ionian Sea, the Northern and Southern Aegean Islands and the Adriatic voyages.
 
Sadun Boro, who spent the last years of his life in Bodrum and is one of the names who started nature advocacy in Turkey, has three more works published during his lifetime: Maviturkuaz: Ege'den Akdeniz'e Kıyıların Efsanesi (2000) that he prepared together with Şadan Gökovalı and Gökçen Adar, Vira Demir: Istanbul'dan Antalya'ya Denizciler İçin Rehber (2005) and Bir Hayalin Peşinde: Yarım Asır Evvel Bir Atlantik Serüveni (2008).
 
Sadun Boro's books not only narrate the events on his voyages, but also offer sailing enthusiasts nautical information on many topics from sail trim to anchoring. Sadun Boro's adventures continue in the dreams of his readers.
