Setur Marinas Kaş First: Electric Vehicle Charging Station

Setur Marinas, holder of I-REC International Renewable Energy Certificate, opened the first electric vehicle charging station in Kaş Marina.

As the interest in electric vehicles are increasing in Turkey, just like in the rest of the world, vehicle charging stations are rapidly becoming widespread. Kaş Marina has added a new one to these stations. The X-Charge brand electric vehicle AC charging station in the marina has been put into service for seafarers as of March 26.

The electric vehicle station project, a first in the Setur Marinas chain, has two charging units, each with a power of 22 kW. The station, which offers external wireless charging thanks to its type 2 cable, also offers the ability to start the charging with the QR Code system, and can detect parked vehicles with the Smart Parking System. The users are able to monitor their data from the station during charging.

Electric vehicle systems, which are known to have positive effects on environmental pollution, noise pollution and global warming, are thought to have an important place in the future of the marina industry. In our country, where there are approximately 7 thousand electric vehicles in use and more than 2 thousand 500 public charging stations, the total number of sockets is currently around 4 thousand 500. However, it is expected for this number to go up rapidly with the implementation of the domestic automobile project.

It is envisioned that the electric vehicle charging station installed in Kaş Marina will prevent an average of 4000 kg CO2 emissions annually. The nature always rewards the care given to it.
